STATEMENT OF FAITH                                                                Barb Boswell

I believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

I believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

I believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He was crucified, died on the cross, a sacrifice for our sins, and was buried. He rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, He sits at the right hand of God the Father, as our High Priest, Mediator and Advocate.

I believe that the Holy Spirit indwells and gives life to believers, enables them to understand the Scriptures, empowers them for godly living, and equips them for service and witness.

I believe that man was created in the image of God. He sinned by disobeying God and was alienated from his Creator. That fall brought all mankind under divine condemnation and only through regeneration of the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.

I believe the Salvation of lost and sinful people is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ by grace alone through faith, apart from works and by regeneration of the Holy Spirit. Christ’s sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe. Those who believe and receive Jesus and are born of the Holy Spirit, thus becoming children of God with eternal life.

I believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Jesus Christ and in the importance of church for worship, service and missions. I believe the mission of the Church is to go to all the world and make disciples of all nations.

I believe In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost-- the saved unto the resurrection of life and the lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

I believe that Jesus Christ will soon return to this earth, personally, visibly, and unexpectedly, in power and great glory, to gather His elect, to raise the dead, to judge the nations, to reign in righteousness and justice, thus bringing His Kingdom to fulfillment.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

“So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
